Een vakkundige commissie selecteerde 38 projecten die op de één of andere manier 'voorbeeldig'zijn: van duintuin tot begraafplaats, van parkwijk tot tuindorp, van binnenstad tot regio en van hortus tot luchthaven. Een zestal analytische en opiniërende essays naar aanleiding van actuele thema's en discussies gaat aan de selectie vooral. 'Landscape Architecture and Town Planning in the Netherlands 97-99' is the third in a series of biennial publications reflecting current developmetns in the disciplines that shape the planned environment in the Netherlands. A professional committee has selected 38 projects that in one way or another represent best practice: from a dune garden to a cemetery, a residential park to a garden suburb, a city centre to a region, and a botanic garden to an airport. The selection is preceded by six analytical and critical essays on topical subjects. 'Landscape Architecture an Town Planning in the Netherlands 97-99' provides a critical overview of current landscape architecture and planning projects. It allows members of the professions and their clients to keep abreast of the state of the art in Dutch landscape architecture and town planning.
